Hi, I’m Jacob Thomas, a native of Charlotte, NC, and a Concord High School graduate. Growing up in these communities instilled in me the values of hard work, integrity, and looking out for others. After high school, I served several years in law enforcement, including during the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19. This experience strengthened my ability to stay detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to helping others—skills that now guide my work as a professional home inspector.

As part of the StarPoint Services Inspection Division, my mission is simple: to provide homeowners and buyers with clear, honest, and thorough inspections, empowering you to make informed decisions with confidence. I take pride in being approachable and professional, guiding clients through every step of the inspection process, answering questions, and making the experience as simple and understandable as possible.

StarPoint Services operates two distinct divisions under one business umbrella: the Inspection Division and the Construction Division.

In accordance with the Code of Ethics for licensed home inspectors under 11 NCAC 08 .1116(h) — “A licensee shall not solicit for repairs of systems or components found defective in the course of a home inspection performed by the licensee or that licensee’s company.” OSFM+1 — the Inspection Division does not solicit, recommend, or perform any repair, renovation, or improvement work on any property that it inspects.

If the client independently and separately contacts the Construction Division of StarPoint Services, through its own website, without any referral, solicitation, or recommendation from the Inspection Division, such contact is not considered a solicitation by the Inspection Division. The two divisions operate independently: the Inspection Division provides impartial evaluations, and the Construction Division handles improvement work only when engaged independently by the client.

By engaging the Inspection Division of StarPoint Services, you hereby acknowledge and agree that any construction, repair, or improvement work you may choose to undertake will be arranged separately, without influence, referral, or solicitation from the inspection services provided.
